A Beirut investigative judge indicted a man suspected of stealing almost $5,000 from his employer.
Judge Farid Ajib issued the decision against 25-year-old Syrian national B.F. after the owner of a shoe shop in Beirut’s Mar Elias, where B.F. worked, accused him of the theft. The owner was identified as Lebanese national H.H.
“B.F. stole LL6 million ($3,974) and $1,000 from H.H.’s car that was parked near the shop,” the NNA reported. “B.F. then fled and didn’t return to work the next day and turned off his phone.
