A man shot his ex-wife in the leg and then handed himself over to authorities in the southern district of Marjayoun, the state-run National News Agency reported.

The suspect, identified as H.S., from the Marjayoun town of Kfar Kila, reportedly shot his wife, identified as A.F., following a family dispute.

The Internal Security Forces have reportedly opened an investigation into the incident.

The victim was taken to Marjayoun’s government hospital.
