On 05 Feb 17, a man caught in the crossfire of an armed dispute in Beirut's southern suburbs was shot when unknown individuals exchanged fire in the Laylaki neighborhood Saturday night, succumbed to his wounds. The Lebanese national, a resident of the neighboring Kfar Shima town, was in a car with his father when he was hit in his back by at least one bullet. He was taken to the Intensive Care Unit at Saint George Hospital in Hadath, but passed away Sunday morning.
