A Lebanese judge ordered the arrest of a man who allegedly killed his wife at dawn, a security source told The Daily Star. South Lebanon Public Prosecutor Judge Rahif Ramadan ordered for the arrest of Safi Ezzedine over the suspected killing of his 47-year-old wife Majida Haidar in their apartment in the southern city of Tyre.

The husband is in custody and admitted to his crime and throwing the murder weapon into the sea, the source said. The security source said that the victim sustained multiple stabs wounds to the neck and other parts of her body. Haidar was found dead in a pool of blood at her apartment in the Al-Athar neighborhood in Tyre.
