كشفت المديرية العامة لقوى الأمن الداخلي - شعبة العلاقات العامة، أنّ "معلومات توافرت لدى فصيلة المريجة في وحدة الدرك الإقليمي، حول قيام موظّف سابق في "مؤسسة كهرباء لبنان" بإيهام المواطنين والمقيمين في محلتي حي السلم وتحويطة الغدير في الضاحية الجنوبية، بتأمين التيار الكهربائي خلال فترة التقنين، إذ كان يعمد إلى تمديد "كابلات" إلى المنازل من مناطق تتغذّى بالتيار الكهربائي، للاستفادة منها في مناطق أُخرى، حيث لا تتوفّر فيها الكهرباء، وبالعكس، وذلك مقابل اشتراك شهري"
