A Syrian was stabbed and killed in Burj Hammoud, Internal Security Forces announced. The 22-year-old victim, identified as Y.A. was stabbed in an altercation on May 14, and passed away after being rushed to the hospital.
The suspect behind the attack was found and apprehended in Bir Hasan in Beirut's southern suburbs at a later date, though not specificed in the ISF statement. Identified as A.R., a 29-year-old Syrian, he admitted to stabbing Y.A. over a personal dispute.
He also said that he threw away the knife he used in a dumpster.
