Lebanese Army Intelligence arrested two people on drug and robbery related charges in the northeastern town of Arsal, the state-run National News Agency reported.

The first suspect, identified as Lebanese national J.H.Al., born in 1980, was arrested on suspicion of conducting “several robberies,” NNA said.

Another suspect, identified as M.Aa.Al., was reportedly arrested during the same operation on suspicion of being involved in drug trafficking.

Investigations are ongoing, NNA reported.
