BEIRUT/SIDON, Lebanon: Hundreds of civil servants and public and private teachers took to the street Wednesday as the Cabinet held yet another session to discuss the contentious 2017 draft state budget. Demonstrators are pushing for ministers to include a controversial wage hike, which is a long-standing demand, in the budget draft. The protest, which began in Beirut's Downtown at 3:30 p.m., coincided with a Cabinet session at the Grand Serail.
