A police statement said 18 people suspected of involvement in the ring were arrested on March 27 and March 29 in Jounieh, north of Beirut.

Raids were carried out at apartments and nightclubs used as venues by the traffickers, the statement added.

Police arrested 10 men and eight female domestic workers who were used to guard the apartments. Two members of the ring are still on the run.
