BEIRUT: Lebanon police announced the arrested three suspects on charges of using and distributing counterfeit money in the southern village of Adaisseh.

The Internal Security Forces said in a statement that the three suspects were arrested in the town of Taibeh in the southern district on Nabatieh.

Police seized LL2,300,000 ($1,533) in the form forged LL100,000 bills.

Police also confiscated LL4,200,000 of the forged currency in the town of Saadnayel in the eastern city of Zahle.

The suspects were identified as 19-year-old Aa.M., 20-year-old Aa. A. and H.A., 22.
