Local citrus and banana farmers Saturday staged a protest in south Lebanon over the state's negligence and failure to find alternatives for their shrinking markets.
The angry protesters held banners urging the state to intervene "before it's too late and the harvest season enters its depression phase," the state-run National News Agency said.
The rally was held in Qassimiyah in the southern city of Tyre.
