Lebanon's General Security announced Thursday the arrest of a Syrian national over alleged weapons trading and working with militant groups.

A General Security statement said the Syrian man, identified by the initials A.Aa., confessed to forming a network with three other Syrian nationals which sells weapons and ammunition to militant groups residing in the northeastern border town of Arsal.

It added that it is working to capture three other suspects as the Syrian national was referred to judicial authorities for further investigation.
