Lebanon’s General Security announced Monday that it had arrested an ISIS militant who had a role in the twin suicide bombings that struck the Tripoli neighborhood of Jabal Mohsen in January, leaving nine dead. Lebanese national S. I. confessed to interrogators that he recruited others to join ISIS and fight among its ranks, undertake military training where he was taught explosives handling and spy on Army troops as part of terror plots, a General Security statement said. The man also confessed to providing shelter and explosives to two ISIS militants, Taha Khayyal and Bilal al-Merehyan, and helping them move to Jabal Mohsen to carry out the bombings.
