A Lebanese national was arrested by Internal Security Forces for a murder that took place the day before near Ghazir High School in Kesrouan. The assailant was identified as 79-year-old S.Aa. He was apprehended around 10 a.m. at a hotel near Antelias with a Beretta handgun in his possession. During questioning, the suspect reportedly admitted to murdering 31-year-old Syrian national M.D.
According to an ISF statement, the murder was prompted by a “material dispute.” Security camera footage showed S.Aa. shooting the Syrian from a rented gray Hyundai i10 car. The body was found with a bullet wound to the head and chest, and was rushed to the Bouar Public Hospital. S.Aa. has been transferred to the judiciary.
