نتيجة للمتابعة والرصد الدقيق، وضمن إطار ملاحقة باقي أفراد العصابات التي نفذت في الآونة الأخيرة عمليات سطو مسلح على عدد من المصارف اللبنانية، تمكنت شعبة المعلومات بتاريخ 30/12/2016 من توقيف المدعو: ع. ز. (مواليد عام 1991، لبناني)، وذلك في محلة خلدة، وضبطت بحوزته مسدس حربي وبطاقة هوية مزورة.
بالتحقيق معه اعترف بإشتراكه في عملية السطو المسلح على مصرف "الاعتماد اللبناني" فرع المكلس بتاريخ 6/12/2016، وذلك بالإشتراك مع آخرين، أوقفوا سابقا من قبل الشعبة المذكورة.
