On 07 Jan 17, Lebanese Customs agents raided two factories that were producing counterfeit alcohol in the Metn district, arresting one suspect. The factories in Beit Shabab and Sabtieh areas were filling brand-name alcohol bottles with counterfeit liquor. The agency seized a large quantity of bootleg whisky during the raids.
