The Lebanese Army exchanged gunfire with a suspected drug dealer in a car chase near Mkalles’ Jisr al-Basha

The car, which the Army said was being used to sell drugs, was later found near Mkalles with freebase cocaine inside, the statement said. It remained unclear how many people had been in the car during the shootout, and the suspect or suspects have presumably remained at large.

The statement said the car had been rented out by a Lebanese national identified as Aa.N. to a Palestinian identified as H.A.Aa.

Another car had at some point been rented out between the two for alleged drug dealing purposes, and an additional suspect was arrested while in that car in Mtaileb. He was identified as Lebanese national H.Aa., and was apprehended in possession of drugs, weapons and a sum of money.

This security incident was mapped according to the closest possible location.
