On October 2nd, a dispute between generator company owners led to a gunfight in south Lebanon's Sidon, killing two and injuring several persons.

As a result of the fighting the Lebanese Army etablished checkpoints across the city, with a focus on the areawhere the clashes took place. Internal Security Forces were also at the scene.
