A man suspected of killing his wife in August was arrested at night in the district of Hermel, the state-run National News Agency reported.
A Lebanese Army force arrested Ali Ahmad Nasreddine along with Abed al-Mutaleb Jaafar in the Hermel border town of Al-Qasr. The NNA added that the Army force came under fire while it was withdrawing from the area.
Nasreddine is suspected of shooting his wife, Dalia Hijazi, five months ago, while Jaafar - who is also known as Hussein Sherif - had several warrants out for his arrest on drug-related charges and for shooting at the Army.
