The Lebanese Army arrested two men for possession of drugs in Beirut’s southern suburbs during a patrol.
The Intelligence Division arrested Mohammad Najjar, a Syrian national, and Lebanese Abbas Ismail in Jnah during a patrol of the neighborhood. Najjar was shot in his left foot as he tried to escape. The detainees were found with a large quantity of cannabis, four cameras and various electronics.
Najjar was transferred to a nearby hospital while Ismail was handed over to the judiciary.
