According to the sources, the sound of an explosion on Lebanon’s southern border in Marjayoun’s Wazzani may have been a land mine detonated by a wild animal that entered minefield beyond the fence on the Lebanese side, in front of Al-Hamari Israeli military position in the vicinity of Wazzani.
The state-run National News Agency reported “unusual” military patrols across the border to the occupied village of Ghajar prior to the blast, and lights at nearby Israeli posts shortly after.
