On 25 May 15, units from the Lebanese Armed Forces patrolled in the morning the highway between Arqa and Kowaykhat, passing through the Akkar towns of Minyara and Halba. These units also erected checkpoints along the way. The checkpoints scrutinized vehicles papers, as reports of a number of Syrians being detained for failing to provide legal identification papers.
