The Army command Orientation Directorate issued a statement on Friday saying that the military arrested last night eight Lebanese persons suspected of attacking soldiers and tossing grenades on Army checkpoints in Tripoli. The communiqué added that the LAF also detained six persons for failing to present valid identification cards. The statement went on to report that an army unit seized arms and ammunition from a depot in Tripoli.
