Security agencies made a number of arrests across Lebanon over the weekend, making good on promises to crack down on crime.

After weeks of complaints by Baalbeck-Hermel MPs and calls by residents for government action in response to a string of shootouts among local clans, the Lebanese Army arrested two people Saturday night in Hermel for instigating unrest and taking part in shootouts in the area.
