The Information Branch managed to apprehend the killer of British diplomat Rebecca Dykes, who was found dead along the Metn expressway on Saturday, National News Agency correspondent reported.

The killer is identified as taxi driver Tareq H.; he has confessed to the crime.

In details, Tareq had picked up Dykes -- a 30-year-old diplomat working the British Embassy in Lebanon -- from Gemayze on Friday night, and drove her to the said highway where he attempted to rape her, before dumping strangling her and dumping her body on the road.

The Information Branch managed to identify and arrest the killer after his car was caught by the Traffic Management Center's road monitoring cameras.
