The Internal Security Forces detained a Syrian national, N.A., in Aley after he threatened to publish a woman’s pictures. The suspect confessed to having blackmailed the woman for $50,000.
The Anti-Cybercrime and Intellectual Property Rights Bureau received the woman’s complaint against an unknown person, and investigations led to the identification of N.A., who was later detained, according to the ISF statement.
