الخميس 20/12/2018، ادعى لدى فصيلة المريجة في وحدة الدرك الإقليمي المواطن (ح. ز.) (مواليد عام 1994) ضد مجهول بجرم سرقة مصاغ من الذهب ومبلغ مالي بقيمة حوالي 19 مليون ليرة لبنانية من داخل خزنة حديدية في منزله الكائن في محلة المريجة.

نتيجة للتحريات والاستقصاءات المكثفة، تمكنت الفصيلة المذكورة، خلال أقل من ساعتين، من كشف هوية الفاعل وتوقيفه، ويدعى: و.ز (مواليد عام 1994، لبناني). بالتحقيق معه، اعترف بقيامه بعملية السرقة، بواسطة مفتاح مستعار للدخول إلى المنزل، كونه صديق المدعي.
