ISF arrests Syrian national for possession of hash
Internal Security Forces announced the arrest of four people suspected of dealing and using drugs in Metn. The first two suspects, identified as Lebanese nationals S.F., born in 1964, and Aa.Kh, born in 1970, were arrested for allegedly dealing and using drugs, respectively. As a result of further investigations, an ISF statement reported, a patrol arrested the person who supplied the drugs to S.F. The suspect, identified as Lebanese A.T., born in 1981, reportedly tried to escape, prompting officers to shoot at the wheels of his tires and arrest him. A.T. reportedly had 11 envelopes of cocaine in his car in addition to forged documents. The ISF also arrested a Syrian national identified as Kh.B. in A.T.’s car. The suspect, born in 2001, was reportedly found to have a quantity of hash on him. During interrogation, Kh.B. allegedly said that A.T. had initially bought the drugs from a resident of the Baalbeck town of Brital identified as A.G., and then sold it to many people. S.F. reportedly received the drugs from A.T. and proceeded to sell them to others. Work is ongoing to arrest more suspects, the statement added.
