ISF arrests Syrian in Bekaa drug raid

The Internal Security Forces has arrested a 19-year-old during a drug raid in the Bekaa Valley, a statement from the ISF said.

ISF personnel reportedly carried out the raid after receiving information Sunday pointing to the presence of a large quantity of drugs in a room located in the Bekaa town of Jlala.

The ISF seized 3.8 grams of cocaine, in addition to salvia, hashish, and heroin – all reportedly packaged for distribution.

A hunting rifle was also discovered in the room. ISF investigations revealed that the property belonged to Lebanese national A.Z., 46.

The arrested teenager, identified as Syrian national Y.A., has been referred to the judiciary, and investigations are ongoing.
