The Internal Security Forces has arrested five suspects involved in a violent carjacking that took place in Tamnin al-Tahta in Baalbeck several months ago, an ISF statement reported.
The suspects, all said to be Syrian, were identified as Aa.Aa., born in 1996; A.Sh., born in 1996; Z.Aa., born in 1995; M.Kh., born in 1992; and M.S., born in 1990. They were arrested on Tuesday and Wednesday in different Bekaa areas, including Zahle city, Tamnin al-Tahta and Ablah in the district of Zahle.
The suspects confessed to stealing a Renault and beating the man who was driving it, and later selling the car to another person who is wanted by the ISF, the security agency said.
