ISF arrests suspected drug dealer
Internal Security Forces announced the arrest of a suspected drug dealer armed with an assault rifle in the northern Jbeil district, an ISF statement reported.
The suspect, identified as Lebanese national Q.B., born in 1984, was arrested on Wednesday in the district’s town of Qartaboun by an ISF patrol, with help from a Rapid Intervention Brigade, the report said.
A large amount of drugs was reportedly seized from the suspect, including 28 kilograms of cocaine, 122 grams of hash, a sensitive scale, an assault rifle equipped with a telescope, three magazines and 34 rounds of ammunition.
The ISF said it was revealed that Q.B. was wanted on six warrants that included drug charges, using a cellphone while in prison, in addition to sabotage and dealing “harshly” with military personnel.
Investigations are ongoing under the authority of the judiciary.
