The suspect, identified as Lebanese national Q.B., born in 1984, was arrested on Wednesday in the district’s town of Qartaboun by an ISF patrol, with help from a Rapid Intervention Brigade, the report said.

A large amount of drugs was reportedly seized from the suspect, including 28 kilograms of cocaine, 122 grams of hash, a sensitive scale, an assault rifle equipped with a telescope, three magazines and 34 rounds of ammunition.

The ISF said it was revealed that Q.B. was wanted on six warrants that included drug charges, using a cellphone while in prison, in addition to sabotage and dealing “harshly” with military personnel.

Investigations are ongoing under the authority of the judiciary.
