The Internal Security Forces announced the arrest of a male octogenarian – described by the agency as one of Lebanon’s “most wanted criminals” – in Beirut’s Wata al-Moseitbeh area.

The suspect, identified as Lebanese national Sh.Kh., born in 1937, was arrested on Feb. 27. The ISF said that the suspect was known by the nickname “Al-Dolani.”

Forty-two warrants were reportedly out for the man’s arrest, including on charges of theft, fraud, forgery and the writing of bad (unviable) checks.

The ISF said that the suspect would be handed over the judiciary.
