The Internal Security Forces arrested two men suspected of murdering a taxi driver in the Bekaa region last week, a statement from the agency's media office said.
On June 7, the parents of Syrian national Abdullah Nouh al-Mohammad, born in 1984, filed a missing persons report at the ISF office in the town of Riyaq. They said they had lost contact with Mohammad, who worked as a taxi driver, after he left his house in Faour one morning.
The ISF found his body two days later in a house in Faour. His assailants had reportedly hit his head and then strangled him. His car, a Mercedes, was missing.

The ISF has arrested a Lebanese national, identified as Y.K., born in 2000, in connection with the killing. During his interrogation, Y.K. reportedly confessed to the crime. He also said that he had an accomplice, identifying the latter as Syrian national Aa.J., born in 1989. Investigations will lead to the arrest of another individual one week later.
