ISF arrests motorcycle thieves in southern Beirut
The Internal Security Forces arrested four Lebanese nationals suspected of belonging to a gang of motorbike thieves, following an increase in theft in Beirut's southern suburbs, a statement from the agency reported Tuesday.
The ISF said it arrested all members of the gang, identifying the suspects as H.T., born in 1986, H.N, born in 1999, M.N., born in 2001 and Aa.N., born in 1996.
The ISF also seized 87 motorcycles spread out across three warehouses and a commercial property belonging to the first two suspects.
The four suspects reportedly confessed during their interrogation that they intended to steal unregistered bikes so that their owners would not be able to claim them as missing.
They were all transferred to the judicial police unit for further the investigation.
