The Internal Security Forces Sunday announced the arrest of a man accused of shooting at a gas station attendant in the Zrarieh area of Sidon.

The suspect, identified as Lebanese national R.H., born in 1993, was arrested in Beirut’s southern suburbs on Feb. 23 in possession of the weapon he allegedly used to shoot the Sudanese worker, identified as H.M., in the face.

He reportedly admitted to shooting the man at Jezzine gas station in Zrarieh on Feb. 17.

The ISF said the suspect had asked H.M. to fill his car with fuel, and after he finished, R.H. fired a pistol at the gas station attendant “for unknown reasons,” hitting him in the face.

The suspect then fled, and H.M. was later taken to a hospital.
