Rafic Hariri International Airport customs, in cooperation with the Central Drug Combating Bureau in Beirut, managed to foil an attempt to smuggle 16 kg of cocaine carried by three passengers, two Lebanese and one Brazilian woman, arriving from Dubai aboard Emirates Airlines, NNA field reporter said on Wednesday.
Investigations are underway with the concerned judiciary to arrest any other culprits involved in the drug-smuggling ring, communiqué concluded.
