The Internal Security Forces has arrested a man suspected of extorting a woman with private pictures he had of her on his phone, a statement from the agency reported Monday.

The suspect, arrested in the southern city of Sidon, was identified as B.Kh., born in 1993.

The ISF did not describe the nature of the photos, but the statement warned against taking “inappropriate” pictures to avoid exploitation, or what is commonly referred to as “sextortion.”
