A woman accused of running a fake visa racket in south Lebanon was arrested, the Internal Security Forces reported in a statement.

The woman, identified only as Lebanese national M.Kh, was arrested after two people came forward to report that they had paid her for visas to European counties for thousands of dollars. She was arrested by the ISF in Sidon Friday, the statement said.

The woman is believed to have sold numerous “visas” in south Lebanon, mostly to Palestinians, for between $3,000 and $5,000.

The ISF also reported that she had multiple other arrest warrants for fraud and theft against her.

Police released an image of the suspect and asked anyone else who believes they were sold a fake visa by the woman to contact authorities.
