ISF arrests former ISF from Hyundai thief gang
The Internal Security Forces Wednesday announced the arrest of four men suspected of being involved in car thefts over the past month, an ISF statement reported.
The suspects were identified as Syrian national Aa.a., born in 1998, Lebanese national M.T., born in 1986, Lebanese national M.M., born in 1989 and a former ISF lance corporal identified as M.Aa., born in 1990.
In another operation on March 17, the ISF said it arrested M.Aa, the former ISF officer, in the northeastern Hermel region while he was driving a stolen Hyundai Tuscon.
During interrogation, the suspects reportedly confessed to forming a gang to steal cars. They admitted to stealing eight Hyundai Tuscon vehicles.
Investigations have been ongoing, and the car M.Aa had been driving at the time of his arrest was handed back to its owner, ISF said.
