أعلنت المديريـة العامة لقوى الأمن الداخلي شعبـة العلاقات العامة، في بيان لها، أنه بعد ان تكاثرت ظاهرة تفشي ترويج وتعاطي المخدرات ضمن نطاق محافظة جبل لبنان، والضرر الكبير الذي تلحقه بالمجتمع من جميع الفئات وبخاصة فئة الشباب، أوقفت دورية من شعبة المعلومات في قوى الامن الداخلي في محلة المكلس على متن سيارة نوع "جي ام سي"، المدعو: م. ت. (مواليد عام ١٩٨٢، لبناني)، وبتفتيشه عثر بحوزته على /٦٦/ مظروفا بداخلها مادة الكوكايين، هاتف خلوي عدد /٢/، مبلغ مالي.
وقد تبين انه مطلوب للقضاء بموجب بلاغ القاء قبض ومذكرتي توقيف بجرمي خطف ومخدرات.
كما تمكنت من توقيف على متن سيارة نوع "مرسيدس"، المواطن: م. ح. (مواليد عام ١٩٨٩)، الذي كان يرغب بشراء المخدرات من الموقوف الاول.
