ISF arrests 2 Syrians in Broummana drug raid

The Internal Security Forces announced the arrest of three drug dealers in two separate raids across Metn and Kesrouan in which several kilos of drugs were seized.

Two suspects, identified as Syrian nationals Kh.K. and Aa.K., born in 1989 and 1984 respectively, were arrested in Broummana on Jan. 17 while sitting in a Renault car, according to the ISF statement.

Kh.K. reportedly attempted to escape during the arrest, but fell and injured his leg. He was subsequently transferred to a hospital for treatment.

The ISF said that upon searching the suspects’ vehicle, ISF personnel found 3.5 kilos of hashish, 840 Captagon tablets and 23 grams of marijuana.
