The Internal Security Forces arrested two Syrian men accused of murdering a man after stealing his car in the Bekaa.

The victim, a Lebanese national identified as Y.H., born in 1944, was found dead from several stab wounds in his home in the town of Taalabaya on May 1. His car, a black BMW, was later found a couple of towns over, in Jdita.

The ISF arrested two men, identified as B.D. and J.A. in two simultaneous operations in Taalabaya and Saadnayel. They were born in 1999 and 1997 respectively.

The men reportedly confessed to murdering Y.H. after stealing his car to sell it for money and buy drugs. However, after the body was found, they hid the car in Jdita, out of fear of getting caught.

They were transferred to the judiciary for further investigation.
