The Internal Security Forces arrested two suspects who allegedly stole motorbikes in areas across Beirut and Mount Lebanon, a statement from the organization said Thursday.

According to the statement, a special force from the ISF arrested the alleged robbers in Baabda’s Kfar Shima after they had been identified on motorbikes in the Beirut suburb of Laylaki. The men, who attempted to flee from the authorities, were found with three knives and a forged identity card.

The suspects were identified as Lebanese nationals Aa.Aa.H., born in 1988, and Aa.A.H., born in 1971. Both already had a criminal record.

The pair allegedly operated in areas including Adlieh, Ashrafieh, Aramoun and Khaldeh, and were paid to transfer the stolen bikes to Syria, the ISF statement said.
