خلال فترة ثلاث ساعات من حصول السرقة، وبنتيجة عمليات الرصد والمراقبة، تم تحديد مكان تواجد السيارتين المسروقتين في بلدتي مشمش وفنيدق، حيث قامت قوة من الشعبة بمطاردتها، وتمكنت من توقيف اثنين من افراد العصابة كانا على متنها، وهما:
_ م. أ. (مواليد العام 1994 سوري)
_ ي. أ. (مواليد العام 1997 سوري)
بالتحقيق معهما اعترفاأنهما من أفراد عصابة سرقة سيارات، وانهما نفذا عملية سرقة السيارتين
