On October 7th, Internal Security Forces arrested a gang suspected of carrying out robberies in south Lebanon’s Sidon.
The gang was formed of 11 men and women from Bangladesh who are suspected of carrying out thefts in houses they worked in. They were believed to then handed the stolen material to someone who sold it in Beirut. None of the suspects were said to have legal residency in Lebanon. The gang is suspected to have met regularly in an apartment in central Sidon. The apartment was raided by police with a search warrant.
