شارت المديرية العامة لقوى الأمن الداخلي ـ شعبة العلاقات العامة في بيان، الى انه توافرت معلومات لشعبة المعلومات في قوى الامن الداخلي عن قيام مجهولين بسرقة سيارة من محلة شوكين / النبطية، عائدة للمدعو: م. ح. (سوري) وبيعها في بلدة بريتال ومفاوضة صاحبها بغية إسترجاعها مقابل مبلغ من المال. وعلى الفور قامت قوة من الشعبة بتحرياتها واستقصاءاتها المكثفة وتمكنت من معرفة هوية الفاعلين وتوقيفهم
