The Internal Security Forces announced the arrest of two men who are suspected of committing over a dozen armed robberies in Chouf and Aley.

The suspects, identified as Lebanese national W.Sh., and Syrian national Aa.Sh., both born in 1995, were reportedly arrested at their places of residence in the Baabda town of Baalshmey on Dec. 19.

Searches of both of their homes unearthed a large number of stolen items, including a Kalashnikov rifle, eight hunting rifles of various calibers, cartridges and bullets, and a significant collection of electrical appliances, including televisions, generators and water pumps.

ISF personnel also found musical instruments, gas canisters, alcoholic drinks, carpets, binoculars and other items.
