On 09 Nov 16, Internal Security Forces arrested two suspected leaders of a prostitution ring north of Beirut, in addition to two alleged prostitutes. An ISF unit arrested the suspects in a resort in the coastal city of Jbeil. A 49-year-old Syrian woman identified by the initials as S.A., alternatively known as “Mama Gigi,” had allegedly solicited women under 20 to engage in prostitution. A.A., a 44-year-old man was also arrested for assisting her in human trafficking. The security forces also arrested two young women suspected of working as prostitutes.
