ISF arrest 4 for stealing motorcycles

A ring of suspected motorcycle thieves were arrested by Internal Security Forces personnel in north Lebanon. The ISF issued a statement saying that 22-year-old Kh.M and 23-year-old Aa.K, both Lebanese, in addition to 24-year-old Palestinian M.Aa and 16-year-old Syrian M.Kh, were arrested in Tripoli on suspicion of stealing a score of motorcycles.

The suspects reportedly confessed to stealing 22 motorcycles in Tripoli, Beddawi, Mina and Akkar, in addition to stealing numerous radios from cars.

Aa.K reportedly also confessed to stealing electricity cables from the public network in Akkar and selling them with the help of others who are currently under investigation.

During questioning, police discovered that Aa.K was wanted for similar crimes, and M.Kh had previously fled a drug rehabilitation center.

The suspects have been referred to the judiciary to stand trial.
