A dispute in a north Lebanon hospital Wednesday resulted in a police officer firing a warning shot, the National News Agency reported.
An argument erupted between the Internal Security Forces and the family of detainee Chady al-Sharif, who is being treated at the Islamic Hospital in Tripoli.
Chady was arrested on charges of stealing a gun from a police officer in Mina, a town in Tripoli, and stabbing the officer several times.
The fight broke out after Chady’s family attempted to enter his hospital room by force, resulting in an ISF officer firing a warning shot towards the ceiling.
Reinforcements were called in and the family was removed from the hospital.
